Seeds of Service

The seed has a heart. The seed has story.

i want to be like a home where the weary and wandering soul

finds belonging and direction in all i say and do and write.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Sometimes, you need someone to accept you for who you are, who you were, and the one you want to be. Someone who will listen, really listen to you.

Someone you can trust that will help you see the seed

of who you are

even if

it’s as small as a mustard seed . . .

That seed that has potential. purpose and possibilities beyond

what you can see or dare to dream even if it’s unseen and buried under a ash heap. For now.

Knowing I hold someone's heart in my hands, their vulnerabilities and their pain comes with great responsibility. I take great care in listening then gently guiding my people to the path they want to move into knowing my words hold power —- that my words can help or hurt, for their good or bad so I am alert and mindful .

Language has the power to define past, present and future experiences.

Sometimes, you need someone to come alongside you through the sticky mud-of-mess in The Garden to find the hidden riches no matter the season of life.

Sometimes, you need someone to see the real you without the tsk-tsk-tsking of your back story,  to help identify the stinkin’ thinkin’ root worms that eat away at your hope for the future.

Maybe it was taught to you.

Maybe you’ve taken it on yourself.

Maybe it’s dealing with the consequences of your own choices that dim your days thinking there is little hope to dawn in your future.

This I know and have learned: there, in the dark of that Secret Place, is a dirty glory waiting patiently to be tended to, cultivated and sown into the fresh, fertile earth of The Gardener. Though unseen and obscure, The Hidden Flowers are ready to have a break through and rise up into a garden of splendor.

The question to you is the same as it with me,

“Will you let the petals of the past

bloom into something new?”

If not, why?

What would hold you back from something new and beautiful?

Maybe...

It's fear that you’re not enough: not good enough, not being enough, not smart enough, not having enough and other ‘enoughs’ out there? And all this jabber about “something more” is for anyone but you?

Maybe...

It’s a fear  that you won’t be accepted if someone knows the real you or will accept you because of the narrative of your past story.

The thorns and thistles, and the soil of suffering and shame may have hardened your heart to hope that is yet to come.  But it does not have to claim you any longer.  It’s ground taking time.

I’m here to help guide you back to what matters most to you. Together we'll create your now story for what is yet to be–no matter the matter.

The seed has a voice that’s been choked out by weeds of vulnerability and life situations.  No more excusing it. Let’s get outta the weeds and plant her into the nourishing, flourishing spacious place where she not only has a voice, but is given a story . . . a new story. Let’s get to creating a new STORY TIME for you, Dear One! It’s long overdue.

A Seed. A Story. A Start.

Be brave enough . . . to begin.

Be bold enough . . . to believe.

Be . . . well, be YOU! The real you  that you are and are still becoming!

It’s TIME! Let’s create, Dear One!

It’s long overdue.  Let's get to diggin' together!

KIND WORDS about Sowjoy Life Coaching + Mentoring

Dianne has been one of the people that has guided me through some of my darkest times. She never TOLD me what to do, but gave me options. Without her understanding and guidance I’m not sure I would be where I am.
— Bri
It’s hard to put into words how special Dianne’s influence is on the world around her. For me, she’s become a trusted mentor and guide. When we first met, she had come to CO to Hang Glide with me during a contemplative time of my life. You know the old saying about “how life can kick you when you’re down?” Dianne is like a natural remedy to that. Her toolbox, first-aid kit for living life to the fullest seems to have something to do with helping anyone around her through whatever they are going through. I started off as the pilot in command but i really feel like I’ve been under her wing since we met. Her big heart listens and always knows the right time to reach out. It’s been an incredible blessing knowing Dianne. I have grown as a person directly because of her.
— Ben
Dianne has a remarkable way of communicating her love and gratitude for the Lord! Her excitement is contagious whether she is sharing about mission trips, or speaking to women’s groups, or leading Bible studies. Just being around her energizes my soul and revives my spirit to want to draw closer to God. Dianne will give her all to accomplish whatever needs to be done for the Kindgom. She is a bright light, pointing the Way! Thank you for letting God work in and through you, my dear friend!
— Kimber
I’ve known Dianne since I was a small child. I originally knew her as the mom of one of my really good friends. As I became a teen, I grew to know her as an adult Christian and mentor who has dedicated so much of her life to loving on all of God’s children by “sowing joy” with whoever she is with. Dianne has the ability to see a person’s God-given worth and treats people with value and dignity no matter how they come to her and in any circumstances. I know she has helped many young women in offering prayer, encouragement and support and I am fortunate enough to say I am one of those people. My life has been and continues to be blessed by Dianne.
— Jessica
Dianne is my aunt and she has never been a distant family member. Even though we don’t talk regularly outside of seeing each other, her presence is always known to me, and when we do spend time together again it’s like we pick up where we left off. She always welcomes me with open arms and loving words. I’ve never heard her say a hateful thing, and I know I can talk to her about anything and she will talk to me honestly and with love. She is a truly and genuinely lovely person, someone I strive to be like. Her laughs are infectious and rainbows fill her living room in the mornings! Shae
I have been blessed to know Dianne for several years now. It is refreshing to know someone who is a giver not a taker. She brings joy in immeasurable ways to others.

Sometimes, we just need to get out of our own head. When we meet together, this happens:

~ meaningful relationships bud

~ synergy of a group causes one to blossom

~ vast experiences to share and learn from

~ builds empathy, compassion and understanding

~ creates a soft place, with quiet and endearing accountability with a trellis like support system as you reach for something more

~ creates a fragrant, flourishing garden of the heart where you belong, accepted as you are, with encouragement as we continue in the Garden way .

Choose a Signature Garden: (in process)

The Secret Garden

What it is: A Look In to the heart.  Deeper personal insight that is not shallow, starry eyed or superficial.

Garden Goal: This garden is an invitation to accept, believe, and come as you are. I am F.O.R. you!  Freedom. Open. Release.

Who it benefits: For the ones who are sincere and desiring to be and become their true self.

The Clearing Garden

What it is: A Look Up which is above limiting beliefs and situations; to see hope; to weed, seed and cultivate a cathartic gardening experience.

Garden Goal: Purging takes perseverance, but together we'll help you gain perspective and make room for purpose and plenty. This will be a process of active W.A.I.T. (Wisdom. Attention. Intention. Time.)

Who it benefits: For women who are being grounded to create their own story, with a new view and to live, move and have their being in the rhythm of a new hearts garden.

The Giving Garden

What it is: A Look Out that GROWS: Genuinely Remembers Others; Willingly Sows

Garden Goal: Learn valuable tools to cultivate a heart of understanding and an eye of empathy toward others.

Who it benefits: For those who are well-rooted.  Your personal flourishing influences others who may seem to be nobodies, and somebodies too, that are planted nearby you and beyond! Dare to imagine that!

The Garden Experience Coaching with SowJoy

What it is:  The Garden Experience is the Secret Garden, Clearing Garden, and the Giving Garden all rolled into one. It's a holistic approach that takes you from a plot to a path and through an intentional process.  Pretty as a posie? Probably not, but it will be a flourishing future nourished with purpose and passion.

Garden Goal:  We'll start at square one by discovering how to sow into ourselves and then follow the path that allows us to pour into others. The participatory nature of these sessions will develop strengths, abilities, and purpose so, in everything, you sow goodness, and kindness, and sow your unique way to love to everyone (yourself included), no matter the matter.

Who’s it for: As C.S. Lewis said, “You can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending.” These sessions are for anyone willing to dig in together and get their hands dirty. After all, we're growing a garden!

Are you or your friends needing a wind of change?  If yes, please jot down your thoughts in the “Message” section in the form below, then I’ll get back to ya!
